SENIOR FASHION SHOW - MORE SENIOR STUDENTS NEEDED TO PARTICIPATE All registration forms and slide show photos for the Senior Fashion Show scheduled for Wednesday, March 19 are now due in Mrs. Pianetti's office. Please encourage your child to take part in the show. It is not necessary to perform a skit or to be a part of a group. The Committee would like to go back to the original fashion show theme and encourage all seniors to take part as a model. Students can model casual wear (beach, country, sport, jeans, etc.) or formal wear. If there is not enough interest by February 15, the Fashion Show will be cancelled.
SLIDE SHOW: If your child plans on submitting photos, please be sure to mark the back of the photos with their name, phone number and homeroom so the return task is easier. Those without identification on back will not be returned. If photos are electronic, simply copy them to a CD for submittal. Place their photos/CD in a zip-lock baggie clearly marked with their name and submit them to Mrs. Pianetti in the school nurses office as soon as possible.
DVD: A DVD of the show and slide show will be prepared by Mrs. Magness Media Class. Copies may be purchased for $20.00. If interested, please complete the DVD order form and return with your payment. Checks should be made payable to THE PANTHER.

HOST FAMILIES
STILL NEEDED
This year, Franklin Regional School
District will offer an opportunity for our students
to be part of a unique foreign exchange program with
a high school in Ecuador. In order for this program
to operate, we need to locate five host families
willing to take exchange students into their home
for approximately 4 to 5 weeks, during March and
April. In addition, we also need students that would
be interested in spending approximately 15 days in
Ecuador in July.
If you would be willing to open your
home to a foreign exchange student or if your child
would like to travel as part of our foreign exchange
program, please see Ms. Wills in room 130 or Mrs.
Thomas in room 128 for applications & more
information.
Franklin Regional School District
takes pride in providing unique educational
opportunism. If you have any questions about this
program, or are willing to serve as a host family,
please contact Ms. Wills (ext 5130) or Mrs. Thomas
(ext 5128) at 724-327-5456.
(Ms. Wills and Mrs. Thomas)
FYI - Two more host
families are needed. The opportunity to be a host
family is open to anyone in the high community, your
children don't have to be Spanish students.
PHONES STILL
NEEDED
The musical is in search of
fifty, (50), 1957 style rotary telephones. We
can use any color or any design and they do not
need to work. Please check attics, storage
areas and garages for this very important prop
for a major dance number in the show. Please
bring them to the high school office with your
name and phone number if you would like them
returned after the show. Contact Deb Scheinert
at
FRSTAGEMOM@aol.com or
call 412 491-0062 with any questions.
Items for sale and fundraisers...
(New or
updated items' titles are
highlighted in blue)
Editor's
note: I will run fundraising
announcements in the
E-News about once a week. If you
are associated with a school
related organization and would
like to advertise it in
the E-News please send me an
article to
FRHSnews@windstream.net. I
have found the simpler the
format the better. Often when I
copy more complicated items the
original formatting (fonts,
spacing, colors, etc) doesn't
transfer well and I end up
having to retype the article.
Please be sure to include a
contact person and an end date,
so I know how long to run the
article.

CARNATION SALE
ENDS TUESDAY
Ever been in the situation where you want to do good and be good at the same time? Here is the perfect opportunity to do both. The Aloha Survivors/Aloha Cancer Relay for Life team is sponsoring an ANONYMOUS send your sweetie, valentine, secret crush, or just someone you think a lot of a carnation or a bunch of carnations just as a way of saying I am thinking of you on Valentines Day! This opportunity is open to any student, faculty, or staff or family member thereof. The color of the carnation will tell the person what you are thinking about them. It is up to the person to figure out who sent them!!! You only need to know the persons name and homeroom or office (for delivery). Team members will be taking orders during lunch periods through Tuesday, February 12th. One flower costs $1. Payment is due at time of order and delivery will be made during homeroom on Valentines Day!!! Payment can be made by cash or check made out to the Rosebud Florist.
