LETTER TO THE SENIOR CLASS FROM MARC YEARSLEY
Dear Class of 2009,
As we all know, these troubled economic times have had a resounding effect on our country. Even here in our community, families are feeling the burden of this crisis. The Westmoreland County food bank reserves are nearly depleted. People in our community depend on this food bank to provide groceries to feed their families.
This year, more than any before, our community needs us to step it up. In years past, the food bank has called on our school to help fill boxes, package them, and distribute them. This year, there is nothing to package.
We are one of the greatest classes to go through this school. Looking at us, the community sees future leaders in business, leaders in academics, and leaders in life. It is time for us to step it up yet another notch and let our actions speak louder than our words.
It is with great pleasure that we present you with the following program, which has the support of the faculty and administration. We have developed specific support levels that if met, will allow Seniors to have up to three excused late starts on PSSA testing days. Additionally, the Principals have agreed to swap parking passes with students at certain support levels as well.
If we raise $3000 as a class, we will have all of these support rewards. It is our goal and expectation that we raise this amount of money not only because there will be rewards, but because families in this community need us right now. We are blessed to be in the position that we are to help our community and it is only fitting that we, as a Class, lend a helping hand.
Believe it or not, the underclassmen look up to us. They see in us what they will soon be. We set the bar, we set the standard, and we will succeed in this great endeavor.
Much Thanks, Your Officers Marc Yearsley, Jake Sternberger, Sean O’Brian, Jordan Sirianni

If you have a toy and don’t have the time to drop it off, just call send me or send email at FRHSnews@comcast.net and I will pick it up (as long as it is in the Murrysville vicinity). Or, you can make a donation at www.toysfortots.org Also, if you know of a family in need of toys, please contact the www.toysfortots.org or our local Marine Coordinator located in North Versailles at 412-672-3472 X288.
