Robert E. Lynch - Photography - Artist's Background

My interest in Photography started as an elective course in m y senior year at West High School in Akron, OH. I then attended Progressive School of Photography in New Haven, CT during the summer of 1948.

When I enlisted in the Air Force, I desired to attend the photography school, but instead was assigned to Radio School, where I eventually stayed and taught. Upon my discharge, I was employed in the electronics industry and only dabbled in photography.

I originally used 35mm slide film in order to obtain excellent color reproduction. I used Cibachrome chemicals & paper for many years. During this time, I accumulated over 9000 slides. But, after going to Africa to climb Kilimanjaro Mt. and packing 10 lbs. of film, camera and lenses to the top and back down again, I decided there had to be a better system. DIGITAL was it, as I now work at my desk with the ability to correct any problems in the daylight. I place the prints in frames under glass & use EPSON papers & inks for superior archival purposes.

I have visited 39 countries and 7 continents so far in my search for Nature to photograph.

Any comments you might have, please let me know. I am always open to improvement.
